Annual General Meeting

The annual General meeting was held in the Bathurst Library Meeting Room July 15. The members present received reports from: the President; Treasurer; Members Secretary; Cemetery Coordinator and Research Coordinator. There was a Special Resolution passed to amend the Constitution. Holy Trinity Church Cemetery Wander

30 + Members and guests attended Bathurst Family History Group’s Cemetery Wander Saturday June 17. Many thanks to Carol Churches and Jan Page for such interesting information about the people buried in the Holy Trinity Churchyard. Beatrice GRIMSHAW

One of the latest addition to the Pillars of Bathurst was the BFHG’s nomination for Beatrice Grimshaw (1870-1953). This Irish born writer had been a traveller in the South Pacific for over 30 years.  She wrote numerous short stories and travel articles.  Lived in Papua for 27 years and managed plantations. She retired to Kelso in 1936. Bathurst Regional Heritage Awards

The Bathurst Family History Group were finalist in the Bathurst Regional Heritage Awards and received two “Highly Commended” Certificates with the following citations: “The Line of Bonnets is a project of the Bathurst Family History Group.
