On June19, around 40 members travelled to Gulgong by bus and car for a very enjoyable day visiting local sites.
We met up and had morning tea in a local park.
After morning tea we split into two Groups and visited the Henry Lawson museum and the Holtermann Centre
The shops the Holtermann museum has been built in were purchased by a local committee and rebuilt to resemble the 1870’s building shown in the Holtermann photo. The museum was opened in late 2019 and is world class containing touch screen displays of the holtermann photos.
After lunch at the Prince of Wales Hotel we visited the pioneer museum that covered almost a whole block
