Don’t miss this rare opportunity to visit the historic Catholic Cemetery at O’Connell. This small, private cemetery is located behind the O’Connell Convent B & B, formerly the Catholic Convent, former home of Josephite nuns. The cemetery may be small, but it is full of local history stories of bushrangers, tragedy convicts and local pioneers.
Cost: $10 per person.
In the morning you may like to explore at your leisure The Old Rectory Store located in Beaconsfield Road, next to St Thomas Anglican Church. It is open Friday to Sunday 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Join us for lunch, at own expense, at O’Connell Pub at 12 noon.
Tour : meet at the front gates of the Old Convent, 2430 O’Connell Road at 1.45pm for tour to commence at 2pm
