Volume 2: 1862-1914; From Settlement to City, Published 1998 by Crawford House ISBN 1 86333 058 9
This is a very thoroughly documented history of Bathurst up to the Great War. It covers all aspects of the city's development in a well laid out manner.
It may not be as useful to family historians as some other publications unless they are seeking names of connections who played a major role in the city's administration etc. Nevertheless, to understand what went on and why things happened as they did, this set is essential reading for anyone studying the history of Bathurst.
