This is a Pictorial History of "Abercrombie House" at Bathurst. The mansion was formerly known as "The Mount", "Mount Pleasant", "Stewart's Mount", or "Stewart's Castle". It is a four storey, forty-roomed, granite mansion rising from a hill in the middle of farming paddocks just west of Bathurst. It took from 1870 to 1878 to build the house.

This book shows photos of many aspects of the house with some highlights enlarged.

Abercrombie House is open for public inspection from time to time. Check with the Bathurst Tourist Office for details. It is well worth a look.

Book available - cost $11 plus postage.
